Sunan an-Nasa'i · Book 48 · Hadith 5284

أَخْبَرَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عِيسَى الْبِسْطَامِيُّ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سَلْمُ بْنُ قُتَيْبَةَ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ كَأَنِّي أَنْظُرُ إِلَى بَيَاضِ خَاتَمِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي إِصْبَعِهِ الْيُسْرَى ‏.‏

It was narrated that Anas said: "It is as if I can see the whiteness of the Prophet's ring on his left finger."

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ كُلَيْبٍ، عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَلِيًّا، يَقُولُ نَهَانِي نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَنِ الْخَاتَمِ فِي السَّبَّابَةِ وَالْوُسْطَى ‏.‏

It was narrated that Abu Burdah said: "I heard 'Ali say: 'The Prophet (ﷺ) of Allah [SAW] forbade me to wear a ring on the forefinger and middle finger.'"

أَخْبَرَنَا هَنَّادُ بْنُ السَّرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي الأَحْوَصِ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ كُلَيْبٍ، عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ نَهَانِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَنْ أَلْبَسَ فِي إِصْبَعِي هَذِهِ وَفِي الْوُسْطَى وَالَّتِي تَلِيهَا ‏.‏

It was narrated that 'Ali said: "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) [SAW] forbade me to wear (a ring) on this finger," and it was on the middle finger and the one next to it.
