Sunan Ibn Majah
The Book of the Sunnah · The virtue of one who learns the Qur'an and teaches it
Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنِ مَرْثَدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السُّلَمِيِّ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَفَّانَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ " أَفْضَلُكُمْ مَنْ تَعَلَّمَ الْقُرْآنَ وَعَلَّمَهُ " .
English translation
It was narrated that 'Uthmaan bin 'Affan said: "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'The most excellent of you is the one who learns the Qur'an and teaches it.'"
