Al-Adab Al-Mufrad · Book 31 · Hadith 631

حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ الْمُغِيرَةِ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ قَالَ‏:‏ كَانَ أَنَسٌ إِذَا دَعَا لأَخِيهِ يَقُولُ‏:‏ جَعَلَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ صَلاَةَ قَوْمٍ أَبْرَارٍ لَيْسُوا بِظَلَمَةٍ وَلاَ فُجَّارٍ، يَقُومُونَ اللَّيْلَ، وَيَصُومُونَ النَّهَارَ‏.‏

When Anas made supplication for his brother, he said, "May Allah bless him with the blessing of those who are pious. They are neither unjust nor corrupt. They stand at night in prayer and fast in the day."

حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبِي خَالِدٍ قَالَ‏:‏ سَمِعْتُ عَمْرَو بْنَ حُرَيْثٍ يَقُولُ‏:‏ ذَهَبَتْ بِي أُمِّي إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم، فَمَسَحَ عَلَى رَأْسِي، وَدَعَا لِي بِالرِّزْقِ‏.‏

'Amr ibn al-Harith said, "My mother took me to the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and stroked my head and prayed for provision to be given to me."
