Hadith 2177 a — Sahih Muslim | Quran & Hadees
Arabic وَحَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ، ح وَحَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رُمْحِ بْنِ الْمُهَاجِرِ، أَخْبَرَنَا
اللَّيْثُ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " لاَ يُقِيمَنَّ أَحَدُكُمُ الرَّجُلَ
مِنْ مَجْلِسِهِ ثُمَّ يَجْلِسُ فِيهِ " .
English translation Ibn 'Umar reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) having said: None of you should make another one stand in the meeting and then occupy his place.

Ibn 'Umar reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: No person should ask another person to stand at his place and then he should himself sit there, but he should simply say: Make room and accommodate.
