No two persons should talk secretly excluding a third person

Sahih al-Bukhari · Book 79 · Hadith 6288

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ،‏.‏ وَحَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي مَالِكٌ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، رضى الله عنه أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ ‏"‏ إِذَا كَانُوا ثَلاَثَةٌ فَلاَ يَتَنَاجَى اثْنَانِ دُونَ الثَّالِثِ ‏"‏‏.‏

Narrated `Abdullah: the Prophet (ﷺ) said "When three persons are together, then no two of them should hold secret counsel excluding the third person."
