حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النَّضْرِ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا حَرِيزُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ، قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ بُسْرٍ صَاحِبَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ شَيْخًا؟ قَالَ: «كَانَ أَشَبَّ مِنْ ذَلِكَ، وَلَكِنْ كَانَ فِي لِحْيَتِهِ - وَرُبَّمَا قَالَ فِي عَنْفَقَتِهِ - شَعَرَاتٌ بِيضٌ
English translation
Ḥarīz ibn ʿUthmān reported: I asked ʿAbdullāh ibn Busr, Companion of the Prophet (ﷺ) ﷺ, “Was the Prophet (ﷺ) ﷺ an old man?” He said, “He was more youthful than that, but he had, in his beard, or perhaps he said in his ʿanfaqah, a few white hairs.” Reference: Musnad Aḥmad 301
