Mishkat al-Masabih is a selection of hadith compiled by Imam Khatib at-Tabrizi. Imam at-Tabrizi expanded on an earlier selection of hadith named Masabih as-Sunnah by Imam al-Baghawi. Mishkat al-Masabih contains approximately 6,000 hadith chosen from the Six Books, Musnad Ahmad, and various others. It is a comprehensive selection of hadith that covers almost all aspects of Islamic belief, jurisprudence (fiqh), and virtues. The translation provided here is by James Robson.

وَعَن جَابر قَالَ: كُنْتُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي سَفَرٍ فَلَمَّا قَدِمْنَا الْمَدِينَةَ قَالَ لِي: «ادْخُلِ الْمَسْجِدَ فَصَلِّ فِيهِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ» . رَوَاهُ البُخَارِيّ
Jabir said: I was with the Prophet (ﷺ) on a journey, and when we came to Medina he said to me, "Enter the mosque and pray two rak'as in it." Bukhari transmitted it.

وَعَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «لَعَنَ اللَّهُ الْوَاصِلَةَ وَالْمُسْتَوْصِلَةَ والواشمة والمستوشمة»
Ibn ‘Umar reported the Prophet (ﷺ) as saying, “God has cursed the woman who adds some false hair and the woman who asks for it, the woman who tattoos and the woman who asks for it.” (Bukhari and Muslim.)
